* Tutors should fully understand our fee structure. This page clearly outlines all criteria and fee standards. We hope members will clarify their rights, responsibilities, and obligations before applying for or accepting cases.
Notes:
(1) Confirmed case means HK Tutor Link staff and the tutor have confirmed the case via phone/chat (confirm).
(2) Paying admin fee by credit card incurs a 4% service charge.
(3) If a tutor cancels an accepted case within 72 hours before the first lesson for personal reasons, a $200 surcharge applies. Personal reasons excluding force majeure such as illness, accidents, etc. — must provide relevant proof confirmed by HK Tutor Link.
(4) Misconduct includes but is not limited to: no-shows, lateness, absences, falsified credentials, frequent schedule changes, or changes to lesson dates/times.
(5) Failure to provide valid proof of payment will be treated as overdue; a 10% surcharge will be added.
(6) Settled on the 10th of each calendar month for the previous month's course fees.
(7) Under ICAC anti-corruption guidelines, once confirmed by all three parties, neither party may privately alter any agreement on interests or benefits. HK Tutor Link has a comprehensive system to check for abnormal cases. If discovered, HK Tutor Link will take follow-up action without further notice.
(8) Tutor pay dates and methods: Traditional mode — HK Tutor Link collects admin fee based on agreed lessons; after the agreed period, parents pay tutors directly. Prepaid mode & video mode — HK Tutor Link deducts admin fee and disburses remaining balance to tutor's online wallet within 3 business days; tutors may withdraw at any time.
Private Tutoring
HK Tutor Link collects admin fees based on agreed lessons. After the agreed period, parents pay tutors directly. E.g. 2 lessons/week at $150 each — admin fee covers 5 lessons: $750 total.
Featured Courses
HK Tutor Link collects a maintenance fee on each successful purchase. E.g. video priced at $200, 5 subscribers = $1,000 total, platform fee = $300.
